After discovering the building had structural and weathertight issues the body corporate decided that it was time to remediate the issues and would be an opportune time to modernize the overall façade aesthetic of the tower and futureproof the building for maintenance and satisfy the current building code requirements.

The existing building right on the beachfront was rejuvenated with a seamless blend of contemporary materials and design juxtaposed with the nautical and art deco-esk features of the existing building.

The clients wanted to visually differentiate this from its twin to its side, which was achieved with new frameless glass curved balustrades, dark tinted curtain walls, and removing the curved horns capping the fin walls that extend above the parapet roof line.

Mechanical systems and passive fire elements were also upgraded ensuring that the building will stand the test of time and provide a comfortable living environment for many
years to come.
